Northwoods Assembly to open third church

Northwoods Assembly in Perham is continuing to expand. This Easter, the church opens its third location – this time in Walker, Minn.

Gary and Kristen Flow will serve as pastors of the new Northwoods Life Church. Gary comes from Arkansas and brings southern hospitality to his work. His wife, Kristen, is originally from the Walker area.

The Flows have both attended ‘church planting boot camp’ through the Assemblies of God, are licensed ministers through Northwoods Assembly in Perham, and are pursuing their credentials with the Assemblies of God.

Northwoods has also previously planted a “Cowboy Church,” called the Northwoods Harvest Barn, on Highway 34 between Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids. This church later opened another church in Twin Valley. These churches are under the leadership of Brian and Sandy Erickson.

The Assemblies of God is aggressively planting churches around the world to hold true to the scriptures to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Matthew 28:19).

The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Ark. with 300 people at the founding convention. Today, there are more than 65 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making it the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.

Northwoods Assembly in Perham continues to reach out locally and globally to help others, preaching the gospel, supporting missions works and opening new churches.
