Johnny Cash Tribute Show is tomorrow in Perham

The most popular songs by Johnny cash will be played by Jay Kayder and his band, Church of Cash, at a tribute show fundraiser at the Perham High School auditorium this Saturday, April 22.

The show kicks off at 6:15 p.m. with Jack & LaVonne Bjerke from Flashback, performing songs from the past.

The tribute show begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door; and veterans will receive $3 off when they show ID.

Some of the songs the group will perform include, "I Walk the Line," "Rhythm," "Highwayman," "Man in Black," and "One Piece at a Time," among other Cash favorites.

Tickets are available at the Perham Chamber of Commerce, P.S. I Love You Boutique in Perham, United Community Bank in Frazee, Nootzi's in Dent and Perham Office Supply.

Money from the show will benefit the Perham Center for the Arts to support the addition of an elevator and handicap accessible bathrooms.

Jay Kayder and his band are from the Minneapolis area and have toured the United States, Europe and Asia. Kayder is originally from Minnesota, where he began to spread the gospel of one of the most important and enduring songwriters.
