Angel of Hope vigil is tonight in Perham
Perham’s 10th Annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil will be held this Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
The vigil will be held at the Angel of Hope Memorial Park, located at the corner of 3rd Ave. and 6th Ave. NE. All are welcome to attend.
Candles will be provided, however it is suggested that families bring battery operated candles for their young children, to ensure everyone’s safety.
Attendees are invited to bring white flowers to leave at the base of the statue, in memory of loved ones. Attendees may also bring Christmas ornaments to hang on the three large pine trees located just south of the memory walls.
Immediately following the vigil, refreshments and fellowship will be held at Crosspoint Alliance Church, located across from the Angel of Hope Memorial Park. In case of inclement weather, the vigil will be held at the church.
The Angel of Hope statue in Perham is one of more than 100 such statues across the U.S. and Canada. The statue and memory wall offer a place for parents, friends and family members who have lost a child to connect with each other, remember and reflect.
