Annual Turtlefest Road Race June 19
Registration is available for the Annual Turtlefest Road Race to be held June 19 at 9 a.m.
Entry fees are $12 before June 9, $20 after, up until race day. Entrants can also register the day of the race from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
All three races, a 5k and 10k run and 5k walk, will begin in Paul Miller Park, located 1.5 miles north of Perham on County Road 51, just past Perham Lakeside Golf Club.
Restrooms will be available at the park. Entrants will be bused to the starting line and finish in Paul Miller Park.
The 10k course is mostly flat with a couple hills early in the face. Water stops will be available halfway through the course.
The 5k walk and run races are flat with both races entirely on asphalt and the bike path.
Classes for all three events are divided male and female beginning with the under 15-year-old class, 15-19, 20-29...etc. through age 80.
Pre-registration guarantees a shirt size for a t-shirt uniquely designed for the race.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers of each of the eight age groups.
The first three male and female finishers of the 5k and 10k runs will receive a special award.
The first two male and female walkers will also be awarded. Walkers must walk or they will be disqualified for awards. Refreshments and prize drawings will be available at the finish line.
