Area Fishing Reports
Small sucker minnows or leeches are turning walleyes on Otter Tail Lake in 10 to 30 feet. At Star Lake and East Leaf Lake, crawlers have been most productive for walleyes in 15 to 19 feet. Sunfish continue to bite in five to 10 feet at lakes such as Clitherall, South Turtle, Dead, and West Battle, while Clitherall, West Battle, and Ten Mile Lake are best for crappies in seven to 15 feet. Spoons or sucker minnows are turning pike on the weedlines of Otter Tail, Clitherall, and West Battle and bass seem to be hitting on most lakes in shallow water. Work the 10- to 12-foot weedlines on West Battle for muskies.
