Arvig acquires CD Communications
Arvig Enterprises announced Thursday the acquisition of CD Communications, Inc. The purchase was completed Dec. 31, 2013.
CD Communications specializes in new telephone system sales, installation, structured cabling, IP communications and network management, according to a press release. CD Communications is the only authorized Toshiba Communications dealer for the North Dakota and northwest Minnesota regions. The company is headquartered in Grand Forks, N.D.
David Arvig, vice president and chief operating officer of Arvig, said, “CD Communications is a well-run, progressive company that complements Arvig in many ways. This acquisition aligns with our goal to continue to grow our communications and entertainment businesses and allows us to provide services to an expanded marketplace.”

Clarence Dawes, senior executive account representative and former owner of CD Communications, added, “Partnering with a larger firm will bring additional resources to our customers and opportunities for our employees.”
The company will operate as wholly owned subsidiary of Arvig Enterprises and the existing staff will remain in place.
