Author with New York Mills ties publishes first book
An author with ties to New York Mills has co-written and published a new novel, "Capitol Hell."
Jayne Jones is the daughter of Dave and Margaret (Muckala) Jones, who reside in NY Mills in the summer.
"Even though she is only 38, she has had more experience in the world than her mother and I combined," Dave said of Jayne in a phone interview. "We are very proud of her for all of her accomplishments."
In their book, Jones and co-author Alicia Long share their experiences of working for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman on Capital Hill.
Jones and Long compiled "hilarious stories from congressional offices," a press release stated.
The book has been compared to, "The Devil Wears Prada."
Jones described her experience in Washington D.C. as "a truly unreal reality."
Long encourages readers who need a laugh during election season to "escape into our uproarious little novel about what is likely happening behind closed doors."
The duo will be at Book World in Detroit Lakes for a book signing on Sept. 5.
