The New York Mills Babe Ruth baseball team improved to 22-2 on the season with doubleheader sweeps over Frazee and Staples. Mills swept Frazee last week in a pair of 11-0 wins. Daniel Kraft won game one while Jordan Wegscheid and Adam Patron combined for the win in game two. Mills capped off the regular season Tuesday by sweeping Staples, 15-0 in both games. Babe Ruth's Timberline League playoffs start next week in Perham. NY Mills is the #1 seed and will play Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., at Krueger Field.

The Perham Black team will be the No. 2 seed in the Timberline Tournament. Their first game will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Matt's Field. Perham Gold will be the No. 5 seed and will play their 1st playoff game at Matt's Field on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The two Perham Babe Ruth 13 team's played each other last week at Krueger Field. Perham Black rallied from a 4-0 deficit in game one and eventually beat the Gold team, 6-5, on a suicide squeeze bunt by Tristan Hammans that scored Nick Bahls. The Black team trailed 7-2 in game two until a 12-run bottom of the fourth inning gave them a 14-7 win for the doubleheader sweep.
