NEW YORK MILLS — Seniors Tyler Patron and Brandon Kupfer have been contributing to the success of Eagles baseball since they were both freshman.

Through four games this season, both pitchers are 2-0 with ERAs of 0.00.

When they take the mound the opposing team does not score. At least that is how it is going so far this season.

The Eagles are 7-0 on the season and have outscored their opponents 62-8.

In the first Quality Results Formula of the season New York Mills is ranked No. 2 behind only defending state champions BOLD (6-0).

Both pitchers are the benefactor of fellow senior Adam Patron behind the plate making for an experienced battery that should serve New York Mills in big games to come.

Dan Kraft is another senior who has seen a lot of playing time making a quartet of big experience in the heart of the batting order.

None of these players know what it’s like to lose on a regular basis. In the past four seasons, New York Mills has compiled a record of 71-10. Since 2011-12, the Eagles have lost only four games, including a 25-1 season in 2011-12.

The Eagles will renew the highway 10 rivalry with Perham this season on May 22. The Yellowjackets are also off to a hot start (8-1) and the game should be quite the kerfuffle.
