Beatrice Angeline Natzel, 94, of Park Rapids, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga.
She was born on Aug. 3, 1914 in Baxter Township, Lac qui Parle County, to Peter and Marie (Hanson) Jacobson. She attended school and graduated from high school in Montevideo.
She married LeVere Edward Natzel on July 3, 1937 in Montevideo. They lived in Montevideo until 1948 when they moved to Green Bay, Wis. They lived there until 1951 when they were transferred back to Montevideo with the Milwaukee Railroad. In 1965 they moved to Aberdeen, S.D. Upon her husband's death on April 14, 1968 she moved to Park Rapids, where they were building a retirement home on Crystal Beach on Long Lake. With the help of her family she completed her home.
She volunteered in food distribution at Mahube Community Council, Inc. of Park Rapids. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall of Park Rapids.
She is survived by her three sons: Dion (Shirley), of Sacramento, Calif., Michael (Jeri), of Brooklyn Park, and Robert (Sharon), of New Hope; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Tad Jacobson; and her husband.
Memorial service: 3 p.m. today (Saturday), February 14 at Kingdom Hall in Park Rapids with Mark Craft speaking. Music will include Song 15: Life Without End - At Last! (John 3:16).
Inurnment: A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
