Benefit planned for Ottertail's Tim Barry
A silent auction, chili feed, hotdogs, and music, will all take place January 9, from 6 to 10 p.m., at a benefit for Tim Barry. Free will donations will be accepted at the benefit, held at Hoot and Hollers.
Barry was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September. He is scheduled for surgery on Jan. 13 in Fargo, and will be off of work for at least six weeks.
Barry is a bartender at Hoot and Hollers in Ottertail, and does construction/handyman work in the summer. He and his wife, Belinda, live and work in Ottertail and have three kids.
Donations of all kinds are currently being sought for the silent auction. Examples of items to donate include: gift certificates to restaurants, 18 holes of golf at a local course, a day at the spa, or gift cards to stores.
Items donated for the silent auction should be dropped off at the old Village Inn in Ottertail (now Hoot and Hollers) by Jan. 7. Those who need an item they wish to donate picked up should contact Belinda at 218-298-0222 or Tiffany at 218-367-2810.
