Benefit for Tom Riewer
A benefit dinner has been planned for Tom Riewer and his family.
Riewer, a Vietnam War veteran, was paralyzed from the chest down earlier this year due to complications from Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease that affects the muscles and nerves.
The benefit will help raise money for necessary medical equipment and to make Riewer’s home wheelchair-accessible.
The fundraiser will include a pasta buffet, silent auction, bake sale, and live music from Willy and the Poorboys.
It will be held Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at The Cactus in Perham.
Monetary donations may be made out to the Tom Riewer Benefit and mailed to: Central Minnesota Credit Union, 108 Judd Street, Perham, MN 56573.
Supplemental funds have been provided by the East Otter Tail County Thrivent for Lutherans.
Silent auction donations may be dropped off at the Pine Shelter Vet Clinic, United Methodist Church, or Central Minnesota Credit Union in Perham, as well as the Wagon Wheel in Richville.
