Betty Condon, age 81, of Dent , MN, formerly of Fargo, N.D., died Tuesday, July 2, 2009, in the Wellstead of Rogers, Rogers, M.N. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, July 7 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Brooklyn Park, M.N. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville, M.N.
Betty was born October 12, 1927, in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur and Agnes Dols. Betty graduated from North High School(Mpls) in 1945 and worked the next ten years as a long distance operator for Northwestern Bell in Mpls. On October 16, 1954 she was united in marriage to Dr. John Condon. They were blessed with seven children.
While living in Fargo, Betty was an active member of her church, Nativity Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, CCD teacher and helped in the parish office for many years.
Betty loved reading westerns, dabbling with paint, making ceramics, cake decorating, doing cross word puzzles, and spending time at the family lake home (West McDonald Lake) where riding the pontoon and playing cards were favorite pastimes. During her early parenting years she enjoyed fishing for sunnies in the bay and assisting her younger children with the capture of turtles (to subsequently be taken to the famous Perham Turtle Races). Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband, John; children, Karen (Jihad), Kevin (Kristi), Kelly (Cheryl), Karrie (Arland) Schultz, Kris (Julie), Ken (Lisa), and Kraig (Dee) and twelve grandchildren.
Preceding Betty in death are her parents, Arthur and Agnes Dols; and brother, Richard Dols.
