A Park Rapids bicyclist was taken to the hospital Monday noon with what are believed to be minor injuries suffered when he was struck in a crosswalk on Highway 34.
Authorities said Robert David Simpson, 28, collided with a car driven by a 27-year-old woman, near the Burger King restaurant.
Roads have been very slippery and continue to deteriorate as more snow falls and temperatures drop.
Simpson did not lose consciousness at the scene and was believed to have suffered bruises from his fall. He was transported to St. Joseph's Area Health Services.
