Big projects underway in Perham
Crews were working on the United Community Bank project in downtown Perham earlier this week. The ground along the west side of the bank's Main Street building has been dug up for about half the length of the block. The major expansion is estimated to cost about $2.8 million.
Two homes have been torn down, and the former Antiques and Compatibles building is being converted into a rental office building, along 3rd Ave SE in Perham as part of a new commercial project by New Life Farms. The Perham City Council has already approved TIF funding for both this and the UCB project.
