Bob Seger and Kid Rock to play Fargodome March 16
FARGO - Popular rock 'n' roll musicians and good friends Bob Seger and Kid Rock are teaming up for two concerts in March, and the Fargo-dome announced this morning that it will host one of the shows.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band will join Kid Rock & The Twisted Brown Trucker Band at the dome on March 16, the day after the two acts perform together in the Twin Cities.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 26. Ticket prices have not been announced, but when Rock plays in Sioux Falls, S.D., two nights later, tickets range from $26 for balcony and bleacher seats to $45.50 and $55.50 for floor tickets to $81.50 for gold circle seats.
Both artists have been preparing for spring tours, and the trick was getting their tour schedules to match up as they crisscrossed the country, according to a news release from the Fargo-dome.
This will be Rock's first show in Fargo, though he headlined a night at the 2010 WE Fest.
Seger, known for rock classics such as "Against the Wind," "Old Time Rock and Roll" and "Night Moves," and Rock, who scored early in his career with rock-rap hits "Bawitdaba" and "Cow-boy" and more recently with the classic rock mash-up "All Summer Long," have been friends since shortly after meet-ing in 2000.
Rock inducted Seger into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and appeared on Seger's 2006 "Face the Promise" album, while Seger con-tributed to Rock's "Born Free" album.
