Boys Basketball: Ashby defeats New York Mills 78-35


The Ashby Arrows boys basketball team (3-0) picked up a Section 6A victory in their home opener over New York Mills (0-2) by a score of 78-35 Thursday evening.


The game was well in hand by the halftime break with Ashby up 46-16.

Blake Ohren led all scorers with 18 points. Dylan Barry added 16 points. Tanner Langlie recorded a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for the Arrows.

Charlie Peeters led the Eagles with 15 points. Damon Tumber added six.

The Eagles look for their first victory next Tuesday, Dec. 11 when they host Pillager (1-0) in the Park Region Conference opener for both clubs.
