Boys Basketball: Jackets defeat Cowboys 75-49

PERHAM -- Tyler Glines' game-high 18 points propelled the Perham Yellowjackets to a 75-49 Heart O' Lakes Conference victory over visiting Breckeridge Tuesday evening.

The victory evens Perham's conference record at 1-1 after losing last week at Pelican Rapids. The Cowboys fall to 0-2 in the HOL and 1-4 overall. Perham is 4-2 overall with both losses coming to teams who have been ranked in Class 2A.

Pelican Rapids is currently ranked at No. 2.

Minnehaha Academy made the polls a week ago at No. 10 but dropped out after suffering a 67-61 loss at home to Maple River

Four Yellowjackets scored in double figures in the victory over the Cowboys. Nick Bahls scored a dozen. Eli Beachy added 11 points, Hunter Salathe scored 10 to compliment the 18 from Glines.

Glines was 3-4 from the three-point line cementing an area where the Jackets have struggled this season. Jake Anderson was 3-5 from three-point range scoring all nine of his points from beyond the arc.

The game was out of hand early and Perham built a 17-point advantage at the break up 35-18.

Parker Busse scored 15 in a losing effort for Breckenridge. Jordan Christenson added 10 points.
