Perham Minnesota 222 2nd Avenue SE 56573

CROOKSTON -- Led by senior Josh Nordick's 16 points, the Perham Yellowjackets boys basketball team won their second consecutive game on the road 74-54 over the Crookston Pirates.

"I thought we payed extremely well the first 25 minutes of the game," Perham Head Coach Dave Cresap said. "We lost some of our intensity the second half, but to get a 20 point win on the road against a very good Crookston team, I am very proud of all the guys. We just need to get better each day, and I feel we will be a very good team by the end of the year."

Sam Muer added 11 points. Both Muer and Nordick were 5-6 from the field. Tyler Glines scored 10 points.

Perham jumped out to a 34-21 lead that expanded to an 18-point gap by halftime, 40-22. The teams played even ball in the second half with Perham taking the edge by a bucket 34-32 in the final 18 minutes.

Hunter Salathe flirted with a double-double scoring nine points and pulling down nine boards. Jake Anderson had nine points all from three-point land. Eli Beachy had a nice game of eight points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

10 Yellowjackets scored in the game.
