The three teams will be meeting up in a fortnight of ranked head-to-head games amongst each other and also games against Perham and New York Mills.

Thursday, Jan. 3 Ulen-Hitterdal travels to Hawley for the only meeting between the Spartans and Nuggets this season. The Spartans will see Pelican Rapids this season, as well, but not until late February.

Friday, Jan. 4 the Spartans will be in New York Mills to take on the Eagles (2-5).

Including Hawley's game against Ulen-Hitterdal, the Nuggets play four tough teams in eight days. Hawley will face a 7-1 Park Christian team Friday, Jan 4 in Hawley. The Falcons defeated Ulen-Hitterdal 66-49 in the Barnesville Holiday Invitational championship game Saturday to give the Spartans their first loss of the season.

The road for Hawley gets more difficult with a road game against the Yellowjackets (5-4) Tuesday, Jan. 8 in Perham and a Friday night soiree Jan. 11 against the top-ranked Vikings in Hawley.

After a double-overtime loss in the Worthington Tournament finals, Perham hits the road Friday to face Barnesville (4-3), before next Tuesday's Hawley game at home and wraps up the first fortnight hosting Frazee (2-7) Friday, Jan. 11.

New York Mills finished second at the Sebeka Holiday tournament defeating Sebeka 59-53 and losing a close 64-62 championship game to Northland (3-4). Sebeka is 0-8 this season.

The Eagles have four games in eight days:

Thursday, Jan. 3 at Bertha-Hewitt in Bertha. Friday, Jan. 4 at home versus #7 (1A) Ulen-Hitterdal. Tuesday, Jan. 8 at home versus Verndale and a rematch in Sebeka Friday, Jan 11.
