Boys Basketball: Second half rally lifts Wildcats over Perham

NEW LONDON -- Tyson Gislason had 13 points and sank a key free throw to lead New London-Spicer past Perham 52-47.

The loss drops Perham's record to 4-3 on the season.

With the Wildcats up by one point with 1:08 left to play, Gislason scored and was fouled. He hit the free throw to make it 48-44 in favor of the Wildcats.

Gislason also collected five rebounds.

Perham led by six at the break 26-20, but were outscored by NLS 32-21 in the second half.

Aaron Ruter added 12 points and three steals, and Joey Dreier had eight points and six assists for NLS.

Tyler Glines led Perham with 13 points. Hunter Salathe had 10. Eli Beachy scored nine.

Perham travels to the Worthington tournament and will face No. 10-3A Mankato West Thursday, Dec. 27.

The Wildcats (3-4) next play Wednesday against Albany at the Bremer Bank Holiday Classic in Willmar.
