Bruce E. Madson, 46, of rural Audubon, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 29, 2008.
Bruce was born to J. Donald and Alice (Larson) Madson on Aug. 26, 1961 in Detroit Lakes. He grew up and attended school in Lake Park, graduating in 1979 from Lake Park High School. He was self-employed as a truck driver for several years, and since 1997 had worked at the Rapat Corporation in Hawley as a certified welder. Bruce enjoyed NASCAR, ice fishing, deer hunting, bingo, remodeling his home, his St. Bernard dog, Marty, and most importantly, spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving Bruce are his mother, Alice Madson of Lake Park; three brothers, Gary (Susan) Madson, John (Mary Lu) Madson and Glen (Pam) Madson, all of Lake Park; one sister, Jean (Eldon) Griffin of Coon Rapids, Minn.; his St. Bernard, Marty, and several nieces and nephews. His father, Donald Madson, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 3, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, with interment following at Lake Park Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lake Park.
