Burglar to spend 45 days in jail
Jon Chauncey Sheldon, 31, of Fergus Falls, was sentenced March 21 in Otter Tail County District Court. He was previously convicted of burglary in the second degree.
Sheldon was sentenced to 45 days in the county jail, according to court records. Credit for time already served is five days. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and was placed on probation for 10 years.
This case dates back to the burglary of a home in rural Dalton on April 28, 2013. Sheldon was caught red-handed by the home’s residents, who returned to find his vehicle in their driveway and called 911.
