The Buzz defeated the Redwood Falls Cardinals 4-0.

Hein took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Austin Kretsch broke up the bid with a double and Logan Swann singled.

The sixth was the only inning Redwood Falls threatened to score.

The Cardinals loaded the bases but Hein got out of the jam by striking out Redwood Falls' starting pitcher Mike Busack.

Hein fanned Busack all three times he appeared at the plate.

Hein was assisted early in the sixth when Jack Stigman gunned down Kretsch from left field taking a run off the board.

Kretsch paused at the third base bag waiting to see if Swann's line drive would drop. It did and Stigman fired a rope to Joey Lindberg at the plate for the out.

Busack had trouble early with his command issuing five walks in the first frame.

Back-to-back bases loaded walks to Jordan Hein and Laughlin pushed Perham's first two runs, Stigman and Jesse Hein, across the plate.

The Buzz added their final two runs in the third inning.

Ivan Nodsle walked and moved to second base on a single by Jordan Hein.

Laughlin brought both runners home with a long double to centerfield.

Busack was chased from the mound in the fourth inning after Joey Lindberg reached second base on a throwing error by Kretsch at third base on a potential 5-3 putout.

Trevor Sandgren pitched the final four frames for Redwood Falls allowing five hits and no runs. Sandgren fanned five and walked one.

Busack took the loss throwing three innings, giving up all four runs on just two hits. He struck out five and walked six.

Jesse Hein was in command all game throwing a complete game two-hitter for the victory, fanning eight Cardinals and walking two.

Having lost the pre-game coin flip, Perham was the visiting team and loaded the bases in the seventh with two out looking to add some insurance.

Sandgren induced a pop out to first base off the bat of Laughlin to end the inning

The Cardinals failed to get a ball out of the infield in their last at-bats to end the game.

Laughlin led the Buzz going 2-3 with three RBI. He had a single and a double.

Jordan Hein was 2-3 with a run scored and one RBI.

Ivan Nodsle walked three times for the Buzz.

Stigman and Jesse Hein were 1-3 with a run scored.

Perham advanced to the semifinals with a 10-4 victory over Win-E-Mac in the 10 a.m. game.

The Buzz will face Detroit Lakes Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. on Krueger Field for the tournament championship.

In other first round action, Redwood Falls defeated Stephen-Argyle 8-3. Detroit Lakes beat Ottertail Central 7-2 and Becker beat Red Lake County 3-2.

The consolation game will be played at Matt's Field Sunday at 1 p.m., as the championship is being played at Krueger Field at the same time.

The fifth and seventh place games will be played earlier in the day at 11 a.m. on both fields.
