Perham jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning on runs by Josh Still, Mason Malikowski, Jaden Meyer and Tristan Hammans.

Thief River Falls answered and took a 6-4 lead scoring all their runs in the bottom of the first inning roughing up Perham starter Tanner Carlson for six runs on five hits, four singles and a double.

Carlson calmed down and held Thief River Falls off the scoreboard through six innings picking up the victory.

Carlson doubled and scored on a RBI single by Still in the second inning to cut the lead to 6-5. Thief River Falls went down in order in the bottom half.

Dylan Kruzel led off Perham’s third inning with a base hit and scored on a two-run home run by Joe Solberg, who crossed the plate with the eventual game-winner and a 7-6 lead.

Perham added plenty of insurance scoring three runs in the sixth and six more in the seventh for the blowout 10-run cushion.
