Candidates to be interviewed for NY Mills superintendent
The New York Mills School Board has set interviews with four candidates for the superintendent position.
The first candidate is Blaine Novak, who is currently the high school principal in New York Mills, and has been since 2008.
The second candidate is Kyle Edgerton, who has been superintendent in Grant County, North Dakota since 2010.
Rick Herman is the third candidate. He served as superintendent in Wrenshall, Minn. from 2008-2012.
The fourth candidate is Ann Wothe, who has been the school improvement coordinator at Waubun High School since 2010.
The New York Mills School Board will interview all four candidates on Saturday at the High School Media Center.
At a school board workshop in February, the board and staff discussed important qualities of a superintendent. They included: accountability, strong leadership, up-to-date education innovations, research and technology as it relates to students, fiscal knowledge, good communication, dedication to the school and others.
