Charge in Perham trailer court drug exchange
A 25-year-old Wadena man has been charged in Otter Tail County Court for allegedly selling methamphetamine from a Perham trailer court.
James Bryan Palazeke, 25, is facing a third degree drug charge, with the intent to sell.
According to the criminal complaint, an informant contacted a West Central Drug Taskforce agent, reporting that methamphetamine was purchased from Pine Court in Perham. Arrangements were then made for the informant to go through with another purchase at the same location. The informant was provided with $450 and a recording device.
On Oct. 27, the informant went to the trailer court and was given a clear plastic baggie, with a blue star logo and a white substance inside, later identified as methamphetamine.
According to the informant, the transaction was made with Palazeke - a claim that is backed up by the recording device. Palazeke then allegedly said his supply was in Wadena or Alexandria. Two others were present at the time of the exchange.
After completing the deal, the informant left the trailer, but was called after by Palazeke, who allegedly asked if there was any interest in buying marijuana.
Palazeke has a prior record, including a fifth degree controlled substance conviction in Wadena Court, dating back to Sept. 2009.
A hearing for Palazeke is set for Monday, Aug. 8 in Otter Tail County Court.
