Charges for stolen prescription drugs
Two felony theft charges have been filed against a Clitherall man accused of stealing prescription pills from a family member.
Michael Adam Buczak, 20, is accused of stealing OxyContin on two separate occasions, once in July and once in August.
According to the complaint, Buczak admitted to stealing 10 mg OxyContin tablets on July 29. When confronted by the complainant, he apologized and said he had sold the pills.
The complainant refilled the prescription on Aug. 3 and discovered on Aug. 4 that the pills had been taken. At that time, the complainant reported to law enforcement that Buczak was the main suspect.
Buczak allegedly admitted to law enforcement officials that he took the pills, but did not sell them on either occasion. He said he had taken all of the pills.
Buczak failed to appear at a hearing on Sept. 26, but made it to court on Sept. 27 for his first ap-pearance. He is due back in court on Oct. 10.
