Chili feed, concert hosted at arts center Oct. 30
A chili feed and folk music concert is set Oct. 30 in Fergus Falls.
The event is at A Center for the Arts with a chili feed at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. concert by Bill Staines. Tickets, including the food, are $12 for adults in advance, $14 on the day of the show, and $5 for students/children regardless of when the tickets are purchased.

Singing mostly his own songs, he has become one of the most popular singers on the national folk music circuit today and averages around 200 concert dates a year. Opening for Staines will be members of a local group, Corner Booth String Band, which will include Bob and Gail Johnson. They will play from 5:30 to 6 p.m. while chili from the Viking Cafe and corn bread from Falls Baking Company are served.
Along with Bill Staines, the series includes concerts by The Chuck Suchy Family on Nov. 6, Michael Johnson on Dec. 12, Simone Perrin on Jan. 16, Anne Reed on March 6, Neal & Leandra on April 10, and local favorites Anthony Miltich and David Stoddard on May 8.
A Center for the Arts sponsors a wide range of programming, including local, professional and touring performers, live theatre, music, dance, movies, visual arts exhibitions, workshops and literary events.
