Clarence W. Enyart, waoka 'helper provider,' age 70, and member of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, passed away on Aug. 12 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minn.

He was born on July 21, 1943, in Pipestone, Minn., the son of Donald and Rosella (Larsen) Enyart.

Clarence held many jobs during his lifetime.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Ruth; son, Paul (Brenda) Enyart; daughter, Tracy (Kenneth) Lanham; grandchildren, Brock (Am-ber) Lanham, Brandon Lanham and Jessie Rose Wisnewski; great-grandchildren, Kohlton, Bentley and Kyleigh Lanham; sister, Loretta (David) Zacharias; stepdaughter, Deborah Ellis Beyer; stepsons, Charles Erickson and Willie Cowans; stepdaughters, Amber Erickson and Julie Erickson (Jose Osborne); step-grandchildren, Isaac Erickson, Chrystal Osborne and Joseph Osborne; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Enyart; grandchildren, Amber and Keith 'Goober' Wisnewski; wife, Barbara Jean Benson; parents, Donald and Rosella (Larsen) Enyart; brother and sisters, Gordon Enyart, Max-ine Woody, Sylvia Blue and Roberta Doughty.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m. at the Tiowakan Spiritual Center (14625 Prairiegrass Dr., Prior Lake, MN). Officiating is the Reverend Marlene Whiterabbit Helgemo. Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 15, from 5-9 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 8 p.m., at the Tiowakan Spiritual Center. Officiating is Father John Robertson.

Interment will be in Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Cemetery.
