Concert series drive launched in area

The Wadena Area Concert Association (WACA) membership drive will run from Monday, September 14 through Monday, September 28.

Family memberships are $70, adults are $30 and students are $10. WACA will host six concerts this year at the Memorial Auditorium.

The schedule includes: Home Free - Monday, Oct. 12 Acappella - perfect fusion of comedy and four-part harmony.

Paul Asaro - Friday, Nov. 20 - Hot stride piano, ragtime, stomps, boogie, jive and vocals. Men of Worth - Monday, Jan 18 - Folk music duo from Ireland and Scotland. Circus INcognitus - Monday, March 8 - juggling, acrobatics, unicyle oohs and ahhh's. Everything Fitz - Monday, March 22 - Fiery fiddling & step-dancing and masterful harmonies. Rastrelli - Sunday, April 18 - Four amazing Russian Cellists.

WACA memberships also include reciprocity to the following communities: Alexandria, Brainerd, Park Rapids, Sauk Centre, and Fergus Falls. Membership allows people to attend some 20 different concerts at those locations, dependent on seating availability.
