Continuing call for photos at Cultural Center
The call for Sense of Place Photographs at the New York Mills Cultural Center continues.
A show of historic photographs of our region and contemporary photographs will be featured at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center gallery now through October 9. A reception for the community will be held on Thursday, September 9 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Residents are invited to continue to submit photographs that depict the people and places in our region, which will be added to the show over the next weeks. Photographs do not need to be framed and can be as small as 4x6 inches or as large as the photographer wishes. Subject should be people, the built environment, or the natural environment taken in the past 12 months.
There will be three people's choice awards of $50 each for the most popular images selected by visitors to the gallery. The photographs should depict people and places within a fifty-mile radius of New York Mills.
There is no charge for showing your work at this exhibit, which will display at the Cultural Center main gallery in conjunction with historic photographs of the region. Youth as well as adults are encouraged to participate in this show that will tell many stories about our region here in west central Minnesota.
