'Country Hoedown' Sept. 13 to support schools
United Community Bank and the 549 Family Foundation are presenting a "Country Hoedown" Pig Roast Dinner and Dance on Saturday evening, September 13.
The night of good old fashioned fun is a benefit for the 549 Family Foundation to support the Perham school district.
A pig roast dinner with all the fixen's will start at 6:00 p.m. At 8:00 there will be music by "Rendition." A cash bar will be provided by the Mulligan's crew.
The Country Hoedown will take place in the Grandview Heights Ballroom at the Pioneer Grounds in Perham.
Proceeds will benefit the 549 Family Foundation in support of Perham school's fine arts, enrichment programs, and extracurricular activities.
Tickets for the pig roast dinner and dance are on sale at United Community Bank-- $15 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under.
Round-up raffle tickets will also be available for $2. The drawing is slated for September 13, at 9:30 p.m. Entrants need not be present to win. There is an 18-year-old age minimum to purchase a ticket or win a prize.
Examples of raffle items include: a UCB $500 Savings Bond, $500 Pine Beach Resort 4 day/3 night stay in June 2009, Ace Hardware Weber Spirit 210 Gas Grill, Bay Window Quilts "Country Quilt", Lakeside Golf Club two rounds of golf and cart for 2009, Zorbaz Sweatshirt, Country Cottage $50 gift certificate, and many more items.
Winners will be responsible for any applicable fees or taxes. The raffle is sponsored by United Community Bank and Perham's Promise, with all proceeds being donated to the 549 Family Foundation.
