County sees continued rise in gun applications
Otter Tail County continues to see a rise in gun applications, with many people surmising a link to the national debate on Second Amendment rights.
On Feb. 22, the county sheriff's office reported five permit to carry applications, three permits to purchase and two handgun renewals. This was for the previous day, on Feb. 21.
Permit to carry applications must be renewed every five years, and applicants must first take classroom training. Permit to purchase renewals take place every year.
