Craziness comes to Perham during the first weekend of August
In just a week, craziness will reign in Perham.
Perham's Crazy Days, which are filled with plenty of great deals for shopping enthusiasts, are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 5-6 this year.
Returning for the third year will be the "Keystone Cops," who will try to bring order to the two-day craziness. The comedy group is comprised of members of the Perham Police Reserve.
Also returning will be the old Perham jail cell that will be provided by the Perham Pioneer Village. The jail will be located on First Avenue.
Event co-chair Dale Wright said locals will be placed in jail as part of the event and in some cases "some people might take it as an honor."
The idea behind Crazy Days is for the merchants and public to have some fun and take advantage of "crazy deals."
For shoppers who get tired out by all the deals, plenty of entertainment options will be available as well. A dunk tank will be set up, and Dennis Craswell will perform in front of the Station House.
Plenty of food will be available as well, according to co-chair Bette Pitzel. The Station House will be grilling, and Ma's Little Red Barn will be serving pork chops on a stick. Cotton candy will also be available.
Face painting will be going on throughout both days as well.
