Crazy Days will be the "good old days" in Perham, August 7-8.
The retail shopping promotion will include more excitement, more activity and more bargains, said Dale Wright. A retired Perham businessman, Wright is working to re-create the festive atmosphere of Crazy Days--similar to promotions of the 1970's.
Crazy costumes, entertainment and food vendors will be among the features this year.
The "Keystone Kops" will be running rampant in Perham during Crazy Days, delivering slapstick comedy at every street corner.
New this year will be an outdoor beer garden at the Station House. A dunking tank is planned, as well as a "Jail and Bail" sell, in the Turtle Park.
Wright also hopes to have the Pine Mountaineers in town, including a cannon that will be fired downtown. The Mountaineers are the group that hosts the annual "rendezvous" encampment at the Perham Pioneer Village, during Crazy Days.
