Cream 'em, Perham! Homecoming week underway, football game Friday
Perham High School's 2013 Homecoming week kicked off on Monday with a Pep Fest and coronation ceremony.
Students crowned their new king and queen, Trey Moberg and Tina Scheidecker (pictured) at the coronation, and gathered at Meinhover Field to laugh, cheer and groan at their teachers and fellow classmates during a number of games at the Pep Fest.
One of those games was a pie throwing contest (pictured) for which 18 male volunteers were told to close their eyes and put their hands behind their backs. On the count of “three,” the girls pulled off their blindfolds and pied the guys with whipped cream.
A parade scheduled for Friday has been cancelled due to a prediction of bad weather. The football game against Thief River Falls will start at 7 p.m. as planned, and a student dance will take place on Saturday.
