Crookston man indicted for August stabbing
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. - A grand jury has indicted a Crookston man on three counts of first-degree murder involving criminal sexual conduct on Wednesday, according to a WDAY news report.
Jedidiah Troxel, 32, had been charged with second- degree murder in the August stabbing of Tanya Kazmierczak, a Crookston mother of three. WDAY reports that he faces life in prison.
Kazmierczak's body was found near a bridge over the Red Lake River outside of Thief River Falls. She had multiple stab wounds and a cut throat, according to court documents. Police say she was last seen alive talking to Troxel and did not return home from a party.
