Dalton man pulled from Tenmile Lake

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a possible drowning following the death of a man who was pulled from Tenmile Lake Saturday night.

Family members discovered the man, identified as 62-year-old Douglas Koch of Dalton, by a dock outside of his property. Koch was unresponsive and not breathing when his body was pulled from the lake.

Emergency crews initiated CPR and transported Koch to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, where he later died. According to the sheriff’s department, a medical issue could be a potential factor in Koch’s death. The official cause of death is still under investigation.
