David Anderson was born on July 7, 1936 in Odessa, MN, to Sam and Lona (Holliston) Anderson. David grew up and attended school in Graceville, MN. He operated a mink farm in Montevideo for a short time before moving to Portland, OR where he was employed in the shipyards.
Nancy Ann Even was born on April 22, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Mildred (Eklund) Even. Nancy graduated from Hopkins High School with the class of 1961. She worked for a time with Granite Falls Hydraulic Company in Granite Falls, MN.
On December 22, 1969, David and Nancy were united in marriage in Watertown, SD. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Travis and daughter, Holly. Together they made their home in Odessa, MN. David was employed in road construction throughout Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota while Nancy cared for their children and home. In November of 1986, David semi-retired and they moved to a hobby farm and raised cattle in rural Bluffton, MN. In 1990, Nancy was employed with Bec-Lin Foods in Perham and then worked for a short time at Homecrest in Wadena. In June of 2003, Nancy was employed with Barrel O' Fun in Perham, until retiring in June of 2008.
David loved riding and working on his motorcycles, listening to music and playing guitar with his son, Travis. He also enjoyed working his hobby farm where he raised cattle, cut hay and firewood.
Nancy loved to knit, her specialty was blankets, sweaters, and booties that she would give as gifts to family and friends. Together, David and Nancy loved their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed each others time by taking drives or just sitting on the porch drinking a cup of coffee.
On July 12, 2009, David and Nancy passed away peacefully together at their home in rural Bluffton. They will be dearly missed by their family and friends. They were preceded in death by their parents.
David and Nancy are survived by their son, Travis (Rickee) Anderson of Dent, MN; daughter, Holly (Todd) Cupkie of Perham; grandchildren, Gage, Marcus, Mikaila and Lilly; Nancy's sister, Sue (Dave Chess) Cameron of Minnetonka; Nancy's brothers, Denny Even of Rogers and Mike (Pat) Even of Silver Creek; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
