Dent woman charged with fleeing peace officer
Marlene Jean Honer, 48, of 40133 Purlieu Road, Dent has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. She is also charged with gross misdemeanor second-degree DWI, test refusal.
At about 11:15 a.m. Sunday, she allegedly refused to stop for squad car emergency lights activated by an investigator with the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
She allegedly led the officer on a chase at speeds of 50-70 mph for about six miles, when she stopped just before hitting stop sticks deployed by an officer who had set up a roadblock, according to court records. She refused to comply with an alcohol breath test.
Honer appeared Monday before District Judge Joe Evans, who set bail or bond at $5,000 with conditions or $12,000 without conditions. Her next court appearance is Sept. 29.
