The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will host a performance of puppetry by Margo McCreary this Friday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a special workshop with McCreary at the New York Mills Elders' Home at 2 p.m. that day.
Set to a jazzy score with lively original songs, the show, "Diggity Dog Days," has been described as, "a paw-lickin' good frolic on heartache and hope."
When changes in his aging owner's life begin to affect his everyday routine, Jack the dog responds doggedly, causing confusion and distress for all. An unexpected adventure to the dog park threatens to only make matters worse, but a brood of neighborly urban chickens intervenes to save the day.
Created and performed solo by McCreary, "Diggity Dog Days" features music and original songs composed by Marya Hart and drums and percussion by Bruce Wintervold.

This activity is made possible in part by a grant provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board, and is sponsored by Thursday Night Ladies and Elders' Home and Heritage Manor of New York Mills.
