DL woman wins $10,000 in Lottery scratch-off game

A Detroit Lakes woman has won $10,000 playing a Minnesota Lottery scratch game.

Anita McDougall was playing the Lottery’s Cash & Cadillac game. She claimed the prize Aug. 30. The winning ticket was purchased at Big Daddy’s Quick Stop on Morrow Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

Proceeds from the Lottery benefit all Minnesotans. Since 1990, the Lottery has raised more than $2.2 billion for state programs. The general fund has received more than $1.3 billion to help pay for education, public safety, health and human services.

More than $875 million has gone to environmental programs.
