Zumba Fitness

The "hottest fitness phenomenon" is coming to the DLCCC. Zumba fitness classes feature interval training sessions where fast rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and International zest into the mix and you've got Zumba! Zumba will be offered Saturdays from 10:15-11:15 a.m. at the DLCCC. Class will be taught by certified Zumba instructor Daniela Ferrio. The class is free for Premier Plus Members or with a Day Pass and $3 for Premier Members. No advance registration required.

Monday, June 1

Dive Camp for Ages 6-12

Youth will learn the basics of diving in this fun and interactive diving camp. Camp runs June 1 through July 1, Monday through Thursday from 4-6 p.m. On Thursdays, the class will end at 5:30 p.m. The camp is being offered through the DLCCC. Tuesdays in the Park featuring the Lakes Area Community Concert Band

Pack a picnic basket, pull up a lawn chair, and enjoy this free summer entertainment. Each Tuesday night a different local musician or band will perform at the Band Shell in the DL City Park. On Tuesday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m., hear classic marches, big band tunes, jazz and more by the Lakes Area Community Concert Band. This series is part of the Holmes Theatre's Community Connections Series, sponsored by BTD. (Rain location is the Detroit Lakes Pavilion.)

Masters' Swimming

This class for the adult swimmer is perfect for recreational swimmers as well as competitive athletes. It will be instructed by Tracy Pechmann at the DLCCC Aquatic Center. The summer session will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 a.m., June 2 - July 2. There will be a second summer session starting July 7.

Girls Softball

T-Ball

Free Activities at the Rec Begin

"The Rec"is a place where a kid can be a kid! All activities are free and range from crafts and projects to games and contests. All activities are supervised. Youth are allowed to come and go as they please. There will be free activities Monday - Friday from 9:00 am -12:00 pm & 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, through Friday, August 14. Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. for free special events, games and contests. Join us for free crafts from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Tuesdays for ages 5-7 and Thursdays for ages 8-10. Red Cross Swim Lessons - Summer Session I

The DLCCC will offer Red Cross swim lessons at the DLCCC's Aquatic Center as well as the DL High School Swimming Pool. Summer Session I starts on Monday, June 8. Pick up a new sport and brush up on your tennis skills! Tennis lessons will focus on fundamentals through small group sizes to allow for multiple drill opportunities. Maximum of 12 per group, minimum of four. Beginners and intermediate levels welcome! Adults tennis lessons will run Monday from 6-7:30 p.m., June 8-29 at the Rec Tennis Courts. Mighty Strikers Soccer

This month long soccer program focuses on skill development through drills and game play. The program will run Tuesdays and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m., June 9 through July 9. "Tiny Tikes" is for ages 3-6 and "Big Beans" is for ages 7-12. There will be a Parent Meeting & Volunteer In-Service Monday, June 8 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the MSCTC Conference Room. Missoula Children's Theatre Workshops

MCT arrives with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up...everything except the cast. Youth entering grades 1-12 will go through a week of theatre workshops, then perform Beauty Lou and the Country Beast" on the theatre stage. The workshops will run Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 26 from 12:30-5:00 p.m. There will be performances Fri. and Sat., June 26 and 27. The cost is $50 per student. 5K and Half Marathon Training Program

Have you always wanted to run a 5K or half marathon, but weren't sure where to start? Want to improve a past half marathon performance? The DLCCC's Running Training program will give you the information and the motivation you need to succeed at running. The program gets new and intermediate runners prepared for the Dick Beardsley Race on Saturday, September 12. Participants get a technical fabric shirt ($25 value), "Complete Book of Beginning Running" ($20 value), weekly discussions, instructor led runs and daily/weekly training plans. The 5K program is for beginning walkers and runners that are able to walk for 30 minutes. The training group will meet Wednesdays at 6:00 a.m. at the DLCCC.
