Donald D. Tungesvick, 75, longtime Callaway, Minn. businessman, died on March 31 at Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Callaway. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, April 4, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Detroit Lakes.

Donald Duane Tungesvick was born on Sept. 20, 1938, in Detroit Lakes to Palmer and Florence (Dunham) Tungesvick. He was raised in Ogema, Minn., and is a 1956 graduate of Waubun Hugh School. Following graduation, Don served with the Army National Guard for six years. He then returned home where he joined his family in the operation of Tungesvick's Standard in Callaway. Don was united in marriage to Carol Bauck in 1970. In addition to operating the service station, he also drove school bus for Olander Bus Company. He retired from the station in 2005.

Don enjoyed time with his grandchildren, baseball, trapping, fishing, golf, NASCAR, all Minnesota professional sports - the Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of Callaway; sons: Michael (Sheila) of Minnetonka, Minn., Jeffrey (Tracy) of Callaway and Daniel (Heidi) of Arthur, N.D., six grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, Caden, Cale, Roxanne and Wade.
