Dorothy M. (Ranson) Weickert, 83, of Perham, died on Nov. 6, 2013 in Perham Living Skilled Care Facility. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Perham. Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 8 from 5-8 p.m. with parish prayers at 7 at Schoeneberger Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Mullan, Idaho on Nov. 18, 1929 to Larry and Audrey (Posey) Ranson. She grew up near Dent until she moved to Perham in 1942 where she worked at the Perham Creamery. Dorothy was united in marriage to Donald Weickert on Feb. 21, 1950 at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with five children. She was a member of St. Henry's Church, which she attended faithfully.

Through the years Dorothy was an avid reader. She also enjoyed golfing, watching football, basketball and baseball, traveling with her family, and watching the birds. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren, her family and her friends and was especially excited about the addition of her two great-grandchildren to the family.

Surviving Dorothy are her two sons, Ray (Gina) Weickert of Las Vegas and Mark (Karen) Weickert of Perham; three daughters, Sandi Kollar of Perham, Sue (Dan) Hendrickson of Verona, Wis. and Tami (Terry) Kalina of Perham; 12 grandchildren, Chris Kollar of Marshall, Minn., Ben Kollar of Madison, Wis., Philip (Janessa) Kollar of San Francisco, Jackie (Brady) Kollar of Canby, Minn., Rachel Kollar of Morris, Minn., Angie (Joe) Martinelli of Verona, Wis., Katie Hendrickson (Matt Theis) of Milwaukee, Sami Hendrickson of Verona, Aaron (Jamie) Kalina of Denver, Matt Kalina of Denver, Jake Kalina of Grand Forks, N.D. and Nick Kalina of Minneapolis; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Kollar and Harper Kalina; and sisters, Cathy (Cliff) Grey of St. Paul, Minn. and Margaret (Ron) Wilson of Tacoma, Wash.

Preceding Dorothy in death are husband, Donald; her parents; and one brother.
