"It wasn't that we played a couple of bad games last--Parkers just came out and hit the ball all over the field," Head Coach Chris Bushinger said. "We knew coming into this game that Parkers was going to be tough and they were games that we couldn't overlook because of their record."

According to Bushinger, many of the Panthers' games were very close, and they were just one break or one big hit away from having a few more wins.

"We put ourselves in position to win the first game in both the seventh and eighth innings--but Parkers did get those big hits when they needed them."

Both teams scored two runs in the seventh.

Bushinger noted the two-week lay-off, due to rain, wasn't good for team.

"Last night we hit the ball really well, defensively and pitching we weren't quite as sharp. After that first game--eight long innings, a total of 37 runs and about 35 hits I think we were just mentally and physically drained."

The Panthers scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth, for the win, after the Eagles scored three of their own in the top half. The Parkers Prairie scoring barrage continued in the second game with the Panthers scoring six in the fifth inning to enact the 10-run mercy rule.

Trojans 4, Eagles 2

NY Mills did all their scoring in the fifth inning with Adam Snelgrove and Tanner Wegscheid crossing home.

Sebeka would answer with four runs of their own in the sixth for the two-run win.

Snelgrove and Norton were both 2-3 at the plate.

Eagles 12, Trojans 11

The Eagles put an end to a three-game skid handing the Trojans only their fourth loss of the season. The win improves the Eagles record to 8-6.

Wegscheid, Derek Gaudette, Mason Roberts, Norton and Spencer Imsande all had two hits each.

Snelgrove and Roberts combined on the mound for the win--Roberts getting the win in relief.

Having seen leads disappear late in games during the losing streak, the Eagles were able to turn that back upon the Trojans in the nightcap. The Eagles scored nine of their 12 runs in the final two innings for the come from behind win.

The bottom of the order, Imsande, Mike Cichy and Tristan Huwe scoring eight runs combined.
