Eastbound I-94 now open near Alexandria after semi rolls, spilling Diet Coke bottles
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – Both lanes of eastbound Interstate 94 east of Alexandria have reopened after a semi rolled and spilled its load of Diet Coke bottles, Minnesota State Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said.
The eastbound lanes were closed about 5 this morning because of the semi rollover, which Grabow said left hundreds of Diet Coke bottles scattered in the roadway and median.
The left lane remained closed until about 8:45 a.m. while crews cleaned up the debris in the median.
Grabow said the semi's driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing the rollover.
