Eleanor Annette

Eleanor M. Annette, 72, of Bemidji died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at North Country Re-gional Hospital in Bemidji.

Eleanor Mae Reller was born the daughter of William Omen and Doris Reller on May 7, 1935 in White Earth. She was raised by her grandparents, George and Margaret Big Bear, in White Earth. She married William Arnold Annette in October 1953 at Detroit Lakes. For two years, they lived in Minneapolis, where she was a nursing assistant for St. Barnabus Hospital. For four years, they moved to Bagley, where she was a social worker. In 1965, they moved to Red Lake. William died on July 22, 1977.

Eleanor moved to Cass Lake in 1978, and also lived in Grand Portage for a short time. In 1986 she moved to Bemidji, where she resided until her death.

Family was the most important thing in Eleanor's life. She loved playing bridge, going to the casi-nos listening to country music and was a great cook. She had a strong faith and spent a lot of time in prayer, was a gifted storyteller, avid sports fan especially the Twins, Vikings and Timber-wolves.

Surviving Eleanor are her three daughters, Dr. Kathleen (Timothy) Annette, Helena Gerhardson and Billie (James) Annette, all of Be-midji; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her mother, Doris Reller of Little Fork, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Laurie Jackson of Bemidji; four sisters, Patsy (Jerry) Blue, Merle (Eugene) Say-ers, Linda Omen and Mary (Ed) Cook, all of Red Lake; six broth-ers, Laverne Omen and Steve Omen, both of Red Lake, Norman Reller, Martin Reller, Luke Reller and George Reller, all of Little Fork.

Preceding her in death were her father; husband William; son An-drew Annette; two sisters, Edith Omen and Victoria Sailor; two brothers, William Omen, Jr., and Andy Reller; and great grandson, Leante Hodges.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, and one hour before the services at the church on Thursday.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Breck Memorial Episcopal Church in Ponsford, with the Rev. Carol Smith officiating. Interment will be at the Breck Memorial Church Cemetery in Ponsford.

Honorary casket bearers will be Violet Harper, Carol Kramer, Mary Fineday, Cari Martinez, Maggie Metzer and Bonnie Beau-lieu.

Active casket bearers will be Frank Annette, John Annette, James Kloesel, John Kloesel, Archie Sailor and Quinton Williams.
