Ethan was born on Jan. 14, 1993, in Perham, to John II and Debbra (Friese) Honer, and brought great joy to the family. Ethan was baptized on Jan. 23, 1993, along with his cousin, Hilarion, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was confirmed on March 29, 2009, with cousins Hilarion and Marlee at St Henry's Catholic Church. He graduated from Perham High School with the class of 2011 where he enjoyed participating in wrestling and football.

After graduation, Ethan was employed at Hometown Repair. After a while, he decided to expand his horizons and travel to the oil fields where he was employed by Simpson Welding. Missing his family and the farm, at the end of summer he returned home where he enjoyed dairy farming at Larry and Nancy Huwe's farm. Ethan's passion was farming and he hoped to have a dairy herd of his own someday.

In addition to farming, Ethan enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and waterfowl hunting, taught to him by his uncles Steven and Cody. Ethan's proudest moment was when he purchased his Dad's pickup truck and souped it up like only a 20 year old can think to do. You could hear Ethan coming long before he turned into the driveway.

Ethan will live on through his parents, John and Debbie, Dent; siblings Ivy, Eve, and John III, all of Dent; grand-parents, Bud and Barb Honer, Dent and Donna Friese, New York Mills; aunts and uncles, Wanda and Kevin Lohmiller, Sue and John Von Ruden, Pam and Dan Nodsle, Pat and Brad Helmeke, Kim and Merle Byer, Ken and Kristie Friese, Allen Friese, Steven Koehler, and Cody and Teri Koehler; cousins, Julia, Don, Eden and Elliot Hoffert, Brady and Sarah Winter, Claire Honer, Evan Lachowitzer, Hilarion Byer, Marlee Helmeke, Ivan Nodsle, Mason Lohmiller, Sophie Byer, Griffin Helmeke, Hunter Nodsle, Mollian Von Ruden, Sutton Lohmiller, Morgan Byer, Ella Von Ruden, Lila Lohmiller, Carson Byer, Lindsay Friese, William Friese, Wyatt Koehler, Travis Koehler, Carter Koehler and Rachel Koehler.

Preceding Ethan in death is his grandfather, Marvin Friese; uncle, Ray Honer; and cousin, Luke Koehler.

The light Ethan brought to the family shown so very bright. Never was there a young man with a bigger heart full of love for his family and his friends. He will be missed enormously. Ethan will shine forever in our hearts. We love you Ethan!
